Foot patrol (08/12/2025)

All of the Parkside beat, followed by concentrated patrols around Barking and Dagenham College in Rush Green, featured during Rick's outing today (8.02 miles).

Heading into Hooks Hall Drive (10.03am, p) via May and Baker Way, Ely Gardens, Highland Avenue (10.24am), Tony Rawson Way and Eastbrook Close (10.45am) were all covered, as well as Greenwood Avenue (10.49am), Woodshire Road and Luke Allsopp Square (11.15am, p).

It was then through Central Park towards Fourth Avenue (11.33am, p) to begin an hour-long 'hummingbird-style' patrol around college-based anti-social behaviour (ASB) hotspots.

Fourth Avenue, a recently-developing gathering spot for students, was checked on a number of times (11.38am, e12.14pm & e12.26pm), along with the Dagenham Road flats (11.50am), the Co-op and the Thorntons Farm Avenue alley.

Harveys Lane opposite the college was also visited, before Valentines Way (12.36pm), Great Cullings, Eastbrook Drive and Fels Farm Mews (12.53pm).

The Discovery Centre at The Chase was the final stop.
